Ice Skating Doll Amigurumi Free Pattern

Abbreviations:

Crochet all parts in a spiral, use hook 1,75 mm, if otherwise specified.
Arms (make 2)
Crochet both arms according the same description. Use skin color yarn.

Legs (make 2)
Make both legs according to the same
description. I recommend you to start
crocheting two legs at once so that they
will be the same size.
Start with dark gray color.
1) Make ch7, begin from the 2nd ch from
the hook: inc, 4 sc, 3 sc in 1 stitch, on the
opposite side of the chain: 5 sc (14)

Place marker in the next stitch back loop,
so as not to lose it.
4.1) work FLO: 26 sl st.
Cut off the yarn, hide the end.
Then continue crocheting with white color. But first let us make blades for skates and
cut out insoles from cardboard or a piece of plastic.
You may crochet boots without blades, it will be a doll just in boots.
We will make blades with a piece of wire. Inset it into the sole in round 1, where we
crocheted 3 sc in 1 stitch. Mark these places with a pen on a piece of paper
Draw the blades of the skates, focusing on our points. The length of the blades must
be a little longer the soles. This will be the template. Bend two pieces of wire along it.
Try to make them identical.
Unbend the wire a little, apply glue on it and wrap it with a light gray yarn. Tightly wrap
it in one layer, so we do not see the wire through the yarn.
In the place I marked in the picture, I wrapped a little thicker (in three layers) so that
the wire did not sink into the sole.
Cut out the insoles, according to the shape of the sole. Make holes in the insoles,
through which the wire of the blades will be inserted.
Now continue crocheting the boots with
white yarn. Start with marked stitch.
4.2) work BLO, 26 sc

Then, insert the blades of the skates into the boot.
Put the insole on the ends of the wire,
bend the wire in different directions
for better stability of the blade.
Continue crocheting the boot.

Then insert a frame.
Take two pieces of wire, about 40 cm. Bend one of the ends into a loop and twisted.

The wire is on the back part of the leg.

Stuff the body.
Cut off the wire for arms, make loops at the ends. Slightly untwist the wire of the main
frame and insert the wire in the arms. Twist both ends of the wire between each
other again. Stuff the arms.

Pull to close the hole. Leave the end about 15 cm and embroider
the nose with it (make 5-6 stitches with a needle).
Ears (make 2)
Use skin color yarn.
In MR: ch2, 6 dc. Pull MR.
Leave the end for sewing ears to the head.
Sew ears at the same level as the eyes.
Embroider a face
Use black thread (work with 1 thread).
Mark the points for eyebrows and embroider them.
Use the same thread and embroider eyelashes (first on 1st eye, then on the 2nd one).
Then mark the place for the mouth
and embroider it with the same thread.
Fasten off, cut the yarn and hide the end.
Wig
Crochet with brown yarn, hook 1,75 mm.

Do not cut off the yarn, start to crochet a fringe:

Leave long end for sewing the wig to the head.
Put the wig on the head, pin it along the perimeter. Pin three strands of the fringe on
the left and the three on the right.
Sew with the end of the wig. First sew the wig to the head, then sew the fringe.
Leave a little end of each strand not sewn on, so it twist a bit.
Fasten off and hide the end.
Pigtails (make 2)
Work with brown yarn, hook 1,75 mm.
(make ch62, start from the 3rd ch: 60 dc) х 5
Do not cut off the yarn. Make ch1 and crochet 15 sc on the strands.
Twist the pigtails and make several stitches. Leave the end for sewing.
But we will sew them to the head later.
Skirt
Work in a spiral, use blue yarn and hook 1,75 mm.
Join the yarn to the front loops of round 52 (hold the doll with the leg away from you).
1) Make ch3 and 1 dc in the first stitch,
skip 1 stitch, (1 dc, ch1, 1 dc) in 1 stitch
Repeat from * to * to the end of the round.
Make sl st in the first arc. In total there are 23 arcs in the round (we will crochet arcs
of the next round in them).
2-6) work as round 1 (but crochet in arcs, not in stitches)

Sweater
Use pink yarn and hook 3 mm.
Work with turning rows.
1) Make ch16, from 3rd ch:

Leave the end of 15 cm for sewing.
Sleeves
Work in a spiral with pink yarn.
Crochet arm hole with 12 sc (5 sc on the top
of the hole, 1 sc in the corner, 5 sc on the
bottom part, 1 sc in the corner).
Make several rounds (along the length of the arm). Two sleeves should be with the
same number of rounds. Hide the ends. Sew a decorative button (I used snowflake
button).
Then sew the sides of the sweater on the back (use the end we left), hide the ends of
the yarn.
Now sew the pigtails. Pin them on the place we like and sew.
Try to sew through both layers (wig and head).
Elastic bands for the pigtails
Use yarn Alize Softy, white yarn, hook 3 mm.
Work with turning rows.
Make ch4, from the 2nd ch:
1-8) 3 sc, ch1, turn
Leave short ends.
Wrap the elastic bands around the base of the ponytails and sew the sides together.
Hide the ends
Scarf and pompons
Use yarn Alize Softy, white yarn and hook 3 mm.
Work with turning rows.
Make ch5, from the 2nd сh: 4 sc, ch1, turn.
Work in the same way till the length you like.
I crochet the scarf about 35 cm.
Then crochet 2 pompons:
1) 6 sc in MR
2) 6 inc (12)
3-4) (2 rounds) 12 sc
Stuff them.
5) 6 dec (6)
Leave the ends for sewing to the scarf.
Sew the pompons to the ends of the scarf,
pulling the edges of it with a needle.
Gaiters
Use yarn Alize Softy, white color and hook 3 mm.
Work with turning rows.
Make ch7, from 2nd ch:
1) 4 sc, 2 dc, ch2, turn
2) 2 dc, 4 sc, ch1, turn
3-12) repeat rows 1 and 2
Leave the ends for sewing gaiters.
Put the gaiters on the doll’s legs and sew the edges together. Then make several
stitches on the heels, so that the gaiters do not go up.
It remains to add a blush to the doll.
I did it with a pink pastel pencil.
Lightly tint cheeks, nose and ears.
